Ninette Toosbuy spent nearly 25 years with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a detective, where she ran a sex crimes unit and taught investigative interviewing to law enforcement professionals and college students. In addition, Ninette has fulfilled hundreds of confidential consulting roles throughout her career.
Ninette is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on investigative interviewing which led her to reform and teach the curriculum for LAPD’s police interviewing and interrogations program. Throughout her career, Toosbuy has developed her skills as a communications expert and uses de-escalation and negotiation techniques to achieve positive results. Ninette presents and teaches investigative interviewing and interrogation to law enforcement, non-profit organizations, and higher learning institutions.
In addition to her experience as a detective and investigator, Ninette offers a unique value in the private and legal sector advising businesses, law firms, and leaders on criminal and civil cases, corporate sabotage, managing media outlets, and has been a guest speaker at a multitude of various events across the United States.
Regardless of her role, she has been focused on one thing: getting to the truth.
